She screamed!

And I cried. I am so glad it's over. H is going next time.

Re: She screamed!

  • Awww...the poor thing!!  It's so hard to watch, I know!  I cry every time!  We've got Sarah's 1 year appointment on March 11th where she's getting some of her shots...I'm not looking forward to it!

  • I felt so evil. She was laying there so happy, having the time of her life. Then the shots came. I've never heard her wail like that. Even after they were done, the nurse who gave her the shots said something and she started crying again. I don't think she liked that nurse one bit.
  • Oh no!  Sarah hates going to the doctor now...she's ok in the lobby but once we go back through the door to the offices, she starts to get nervous.

Did you give her some tylenol before she got the shots?  Our dr recommends it.  What happens is she tenses up when she gets the shots so the tylenol will help with that muscle pain after she's done.

Did she at least get some cute bandaids?

  • They gave her some right before the shots.

The bandaids are so cheesy. They are just plain band-aids with a sticker in the middle. One is Dora and that's the only one I really recognized.

  • Oh. And she's 23" (1'11.2") -the 80 percentile. And 11lb 4oz. 65th percentile.

Yeah...those sound pretty cheesy!  Our doctor has all kinds of cool ones...not that Sarah cares as she's getting her shots, but I think they look neat!

I wish I could say it gets easier for them or us...but it doesn't.  Luckily, Sarah stops crying by the time we leave the office.

  • Yeah. Mary too. Once she was in her carseat she was fine.
  • Aw poor baby! I'm not looking forward to that at all.
  • Sad  Shots suck.  I'd scream too if I could.  Sorry Mary & I'm sorry you cried Kristy, I'm sure it was hard to see your little girl in pain :(
  • Poor baby. :( you're making me nervous.
  • If it makes you feel any better Brandy, she was fine by last night. Smiling away and back to her old self. And she's a happy girl today too.
