My husband and I are planning on going away for a night in March, but need some recommendations. We usually go to Cape May or Atlantic City but thought Philadelphia sounded like fun.
Where is a nice place to go..eat? drink? stay?

We've stayed at the Omni in Old City and it was really nice - great location, too.
There are plenty of options in Old City for food - my favorites are Amada, Buddakan, Positano Coast for drinks/apps.
One of my favorite sites for restaurant/shopping reviews is Yelp.com.
