Gotta go to Target after work, thanks to Kristy! This is what I get for bragging to you about my cheap Conair hairdryer...it crapped out on me on Saturday just as I was getting ready to go out! It had a good long life, so I won't mourn too much.

Yesterday felt extremly long. I'm glad today is my short day. I've been really grouchy lately, so all I really want to do is stay in bed for the rest of the week.
Morning. I've been having a rough couple weeks. I just want to crawl in a hole right now.

Irma: That's the worst! I hate it when it breaks down in the middle of drying.
Last night we went out to dinner at one of my fav places out here. Pita Jungle or is it jungle pita? anyway the food rocks. My aunt & I went to Costco. On our way out we went over the little bumps w/the cart & Cameron's eyes were HUGE. hee hee poor guy got scared.
Last night we ended up going to dinner at a Cuban place and had some really good sandwhiches. We came home and I read my book and dh watched tv. Nothing exciting.

Didn't do much last night. Just hung out with Sarah and DH. I bought Sarah a couple of pretty large (for her anyway) plastic balls at WalMart for $1 each. She and the dogs love them! Last night she and Murphy were rolling it back and forth to each other - he was using his nose to do it! She was cracking up! It was so cute! Of course the video camera was upstairs so we didn't get any of it on video. I'll see if we can get them to do it again tonight.
I got a call from Sarah's daycare yesterday - "she has a rash on her tummy and back". I'm thinking great, it's the milk we started her on over the weekend. The teacher goes back to check her and the rash on her back is gone and the one on her front is now just a couple of spots. She was wearing a new outfit so we think it's that and not the milk...don't think the milk would cause a "moving" rash - it seemed more like something she was touching. But last night, I changed her diaper and she has a diaper rash! She has NEVER had one before - this I think is caused by the milk so we're going to slow down the introduction to her - she's getting more formula than milk today and we'll see how she does. I'll tell ya...if it's not one thing it's another!
No big plans for today, just work. Hope everyone has a great day!

I, too, have had a rough couple of weeks. It has been crazy busy at work. It will hopefully ease up in the next couple of weeks. My b-day is on Saturday and sadly all I want to do is sleep for my b-day. I have work events like crazy on Thur, Fri, and Mon. Luckily I don't have to work on my b-day, but I usually take a personal day off on my b-day but this time it is on a weekend so I thought I would take the weekday before but I can't because it is too crazy at work.
Sorry just venting. Back to work for me. Ugh!

Last night we went to check out this flooring company and were in for a huge shock when we realized that it was a lot more expensive to do what we had in mind that we expected. We're going to check out Home Depot and Lowes tonight to compare prices.
I was also super bummed yesterday...if you guys might remember we put an offer in on an house that we loved a few months back. We offered asking price and the bank came back (since it was a short sale) asking for 45k more. I randomly was checking listings on Sunday night and realized that the house sold at the end of jan for 30k less than our offer! According to the information they opened escrow 1-2 wks after we walked away from the offer so I was so frustrated bc it doesnt make sense why the bank would accept another offer for 30k less just a few wks later. I'm not as bummed now but it still sucks.
This reminds me on The Office a couple of weeks ago, they let one of the girls take an hour afternoon nap in the conference room as the office birthday present to her. It was awesome.

I agree and I kept having to tell myself yesterday that even if we had gotten the house we probably would have had to pull out of escrow once I learned about the layoffs...still makes me mad though

My day actually went really well. It went by fast! I din't feel at all guilty until I got home - it's all good though. Plenty of kids have working moms and they turn out just fine

Okay, I hope I got everyone. Work has been hectic for me as well. My co-worker is retiring at age 60 and I'm stressing because she has done a lot for our program and the students. When she retires on Friday most of her duties will go to me and I will be absorbing 756 students of which belong to 6 different academic programs and I will be advising them ALL. We used to split them and now I don't know if I'll be able to do it all. I'm stressed and cranky and b!itchy. Vent over kthnxbai.
