So before I rattle on in this post, I have been absent for many moons. I thought I would try to catch up these last few weeks because I miss you all! Of course these last few days have been CRAZY to say the least. I really want to vent....badly!
I had the most ridiculous Friday (2/20). Long story short, I got a driver/courier fired. He showed up to my office with veins popping out of his head, angry and just plain hostile. He threw crap around and was just plain CRAZY. I was alone when this all happened and instinct would have told me to send him away but because I was in a time crunch for this crap to get out, I went on.
Intuition ladies.......
After I addressed my concerns and displeasure to shipping company with said driver, he was fired.
No more than 3 minutes later, he called ME repeatedly and threatened to kill me. "You f'n B, I know where you are, I will find you and f'in kill you" where his exact words. (If you had met this person you would actually fear for your life) With the economy the way it is, I knew he would be MORE than upset that I called in to complain about his attitude.
This turned into a 911 call, followed by a police station visit where they were less than helpful. Thanks Anaheim Hills police! I've had to go get a restraining order, and now have to look in my rear view mirror where ever I go. Latest word from Police is that he's a convicted felon and has a record of Prison time.
My lesson to you all............Follow Intuition!

I know! It's so crazy!
After my call to the police station and follow up, he was found at his home. (Address courtesy of employer who fired him). Apparently he had warrents. Thank god he is now in police custody but my fear is that it just amplified it even more.

WM, it has to do with intuition because when he first arrived to my office, he was flipping out and my gut told me to just send him away and call another company to come pick up the pallets. I WISH I would have done that now.

The urgency of the order was what kept my common sense meter off.
After he left, I immediately contacted my rep at the shipping company to have him pulled off the order because I didn't want any of my vendors having contact with him. They claimed he's acted this way before with other clients. I cannot wrap my brain around WHY a company would choose to keep someone like this around. There are hundreds of workers that need a job.
