Hey - how did the vacation go with Harper? I'm hoping we can take Jack on vacations. Are you going to be taking Harper on your next vacations, too?
BTW, I saw your comment on the blog - that's too funny you used the other color on the swatch. I think we should have used that one! hopefully ours isn't as bright once the wainscoting and furniture are in there.
Re: **Shari**
it went great! it was a 5 hour flight on the way there, but turned into 6 because we sat on the runway for an hour before leaving. Harper slept pretty much the entire way, other than a few bottles and one diaper change. i had a pacifier too- in case she wouldnt take a bottle for take off and landing, but neither seemed to bother her!
i have a baby bjorn (which is a godsend in the airport)...you MUST register for one! we didnt have to take a carseat or stroller which made it really easy (the people we were visiting have grandchildren so they have all kinds of baby stuff we were able to use)
yes, we will probably take harper on more vacations in the next year..we are possibly doing a roadtrip down to florida and have considered an alaska summer cruise with harper and stepdaughter kaley.
i used water sprout thinking it was good for boy or girl (i picked it out before i found out i was having a girl)...it is bright too, but almost more minty looking than i had thought. i think it is a more feminine color so i was glad i had harper, because i would have repainted if i had a boy!
i am REALLY bad at picking out paint colors, but i love the nursery color now. it has really grown on me! i am sure the color you chose will become less bright as you add things to the nursery walls, and get crib, bedding, etc into it.
how are you feeling? are you super excited that you are over half way now? is it starting to feel real? have you finished your registry?
Glad to hear it went well! I registered for the Ergo carrier - which is similar to Baby Bjorn. Buy Buy Baby carries it. That's great you didnt have to take the carseat and stroller with you.
Yea, that's why we picked Celery Bunch - figured it's gender neutral. I think it's a little bright for a boy, but we'll see once we get the room decorated. If it's still too bright, we'll repaint. It is starting to grow on me though.
I'm feeling OK. Just tired. I have acid reflux/heartburn, but I take Pepcid twice/day so that helps. I'm definitely glad I'm over halfway! I hope the next few months go fast. Now that we're decorating and we know it's a boy - it's definitely more real. I have a feeling that wont really kick in until he's here, though. haha. Or maybe my shower?
I think I'm pretty much done with our registry. I add stuff here and there, but I have all the essentials. We ended up registering at Buy Buy Baby and BRU. I really like BB Baby - they have nice stuff.
i had acid reflux really bad too! the best part is that it instantly goes away once baby comes out!!
it really didnt become real to me until i saw harper look at me once she came out! it is such an overwhelming feeling to see your baby for the first time! my 3rd trimester went by a lot faster than the 1st and 2nd...i think i was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
it sounds like you are really organized. i was so happy i finished the nursery at 23 weeks. the 3rd trimester it was super hard to bend over and do much of anything!
Glad to hear your 3rd tri went by fast! I hope mine does, too. I just want him to be here!
Yea, it's already getting hard to bend over and I have to take breaks when I clean and stuff. It's kind of frustrating! I'm trying to teach Ryan how to clean everything so he can help - he is not a cleaner!
Once Jack is here we'll have to organize some playdates. I have 3 other neighbors that are having babies this spring - 2 in April and 1 in May. So lots of babies around. I can't wait!
sounds great! that would be really fun. pregnancy lasts an eternity, but it is so worth the wait!!
