s/o "giving it up" poll
last post got me thinking, and i'm not in a talkative mood but i'm curious:
How do you feel about having sex with your husband?

Re: s/o "giving it up" poll
I'm sorry if you thought i was getting at something like that about you - I really wasn't. i'm just genuinely curious how people see it. see, it's something on my mind and i would NEVER assume someone is anti-sex unless that was - all the time - but i think most of us can agree we all have times we just want to go to sleep or something. it's on my mind b/c we've been doing a series in sunday school on men/women and sex in marriage. one of the topics is how the world seems to portray women as not wanting it as much as, at least I, and I'm sure many women, do want it.
i do know some women who don't want it much at all from their husbands, and i wonder how common that is or is not.
I was wondering where this came from! LOL (My Nest sorts by most recent reply so this came before Grey's confession and I thought WTF?!)
Your Sunday school sounds WEIRD if you discuss sex topics during it.
I actually get really irritated because MH will say he's a typical guy and that sex is almost always on his mind... but he rarely acts like it and if I show any inkling I'm in the mood, he misses it. LOL
oh no I wasn't offended or anything, just wanted to clarify.
I was wondering where this came from too. Although I have to admit, the choices aren't really that fair. Because I said I can easily be swayed because I'm not trying to get in my husband's pants every night, but it's not like he really has to "Sway" me all the time.
And, yeah, your Sunday school sounds weird to me too.
well we're watching a video series made at a marriage conference by a hilarious pastor. our church confronts issues that other churches are afraid to discuss.
if you are a believer in God, you gotta believe he invented sex too!
I believe God created man and woman and intended for them to be together (a la Adam & Eve)... including sex. But it's not something I think should be DISCUSSED in church... that's just kind of creepy to me. LOL (In a private, marriage counselling setting perhaps, but in a group with dozens of other couples?)
IMO, it's a private matter. Saying God intends for husband & wife to have sex isn't the same as saying He meant for entire congregations to DISCUSS it together. LOL Seems a little too Swingtown to me!
I am still laughing at "take me" as an option. LOL
I couldn't agree more with what you said Paula! It all sounds a little too freaky for my liking...especially in a church setting!

If sex were discussed in church I would go! I don't go because it is too stuffy and uptight. People are sexual beings and there is nothing wrong with discussing it amongst adults.
I am a prude right along with you!
I hope this doesn't make it into hot topics, my first response is alittle embarassing
I feel like I am making that face a lot today!
I guess I see it differently than most of you. I'm so happy we are getting good biblical information on sex. The bible discusses sex, so why shouldn't we discuss what it says about it in church?
If you want to see part of it, (like I said it is more geared around the marriage relationship and how that affects the sex and so on) go to you tube and search for "tale of two brains" - it's so funny! the whole thing isn't on there though, just parts. this guy is hilarious!
