Tonight DH is finally going to be home before 9pm (he has been going to a friends house to build a dog box on the back of my truck) so hopefully we can do something fun tonight. Saturday we are going to do a bit of spring cleaning during the day and then saturday night our friends and their baby are coming over for a movie, and dinner. Sunday, probably relaxing. but I'm sure I can find something to do. H is going to be back up to his friends house to do some power washing.
Tonight I have to go to my MIL house for dinner. God knows how I love that. Though I am bringing an excuse to leave early. A. My God Daughter & B.I have to be @ Port Everglades at 6:00am for work tomorrow to measure a Club on a ship. Ofcourse I am taking my little Pork Chops w/ me & then we are off to have lunch at Hollywood Beach w/ My aunt & cousin.
Sunday we will be heading to Las Olas to have Lunch w/ my Best Friend & ofcourse we are going to be doing a little shopping in between. Since I have not been able to spend time w/ her because of work.
So that's my Weekend.

Tomorrow I'm getting the carpets cleaned, so while I'm hanging out for that I'm thinking of tackling a DIy project. Sunday, we're having lunch with my family. Today, I'm taking a chair to get re-upholstered. And hopefully this weekend someone is stopping by to check out a piece of furniture that we are selling. I also want to try a recipe that I found yesterday for picadillo, looks simple enough.

Yesterday I was at Publix and I picked up a King Cake! I though of you, it had the little baby and everything. DH said it's not as great as Randazzo's (sp?) in New Orleans, but it was still pretty good. Did you end up getting one?
Hey - yep, I got three from Publix. Two for my students and one for DH and I. It was good. Definitely not as good as the ones from back home, but not too bad. It tasted more like a danish then a sweet bread, but it helped my craving for a King Cake. The Publix by my house ran out of babies, so I only had one baby for three cakes. I let my students find the one baby and they had fun with that.
Yeah, it always comes separate. The buyer puts the baby in the cake. Who ever finds the baby had good luck for the year. When I was working in LA, we would get King Cake each Friday during the entire season. So who ever found the baby had to buy the next King Cake.
Oh, yes, I got the King Cake from Publix too! I have never tried an authentic one, but this one was very good... def tasted like a danish. I had bought 2 for my party on Tuesday, and had one whole cake leftover. I took it to my doctor's office yesterday... everyone was in heaven. LOL
And ours brought little babies seperately... when I inquired, they said a few yrs ago a young child choked on the baby; so ever since, they place them on the side.

I was getting ready to respond to the original question, but now I'm really craving a king cake. lol Hope Publix still has them, even though I'm pretty sure it's not part of my diet. lol
ok so weekend, going out with my mom tonight as "girls night out" tomorrow have a training in the morning than going out with a friend at night, Then on Sunday hopefully going Jenny's house with Cynthia to see baby Abby at night going over a friends house with dh to cook dinner. Yes I'm going over THEIR house to cook. lol Luckily I loove to cook, they're doing all the shopping and cleaning, so it works out best. lol

All this talk about cake has me hungry, lol. Where exactly in Publix are they sold? In the bakery aisle?
Weekend plans: dinner tonight, saturday: bridal shower, sunday: baby shower....and the hubby will be airing out the house both days (we had to tent it).

Weekend plans, tonight sitting for a sleeping baby. Saturday DH doing hockey stuff in morning, then in after noon going to Harlem Globetrotters! (they always put on a great show) Sunday- going to take a peek at a house! We shal see. Other than that not much!
