San Luis Obispo is the halfway point for my BFFs from high school and myself to meet for a girls' weekend. I'm wondering where the best place is to stay. When I go on the travel websites it always brings up SLO, Pismo Beach and Morro Bay. Of those which one has the most stuff to do like restaurants, shopping, decent hotels, etc?

Good News, I live in SLO!
Like pp said, stay in the city. There's more to do.
If you want to be downtown, I recommend the Garden Street Inn .
Other popular hotels are: Apple Farm Inn, Peach Tree Inn, and The Sanitarium.
Good Places for Drinks: The Black Sheep, Palazzo Giuseppe's, the Native Lounge
Good Places to Eat: Ciopinot, Novo, Mama's Meatballs, Buena Tavola, Thai Palace
Best Margaritas: Pepe Delgados or Vallartas
Let me know if you have anymore questions!
thank you so much for mentioning this. i was trying to remember the name and location of this place to recommend it to a friend as a stopping point for her on their drive up north. couldn't for the life of me remember it. ugh!
i stayed there almost 10 years ago and it was really adorable. and the cider rocked!
Be sure to stop by Bubble Gum Alley to get grossed out if you hit up SLO and roam Higuera St.
Madonna Inn's bakery sells awesome cake, btw.
Jonesy - I agree, Apple Farm is yummy! Great cider!
Kirkette - DH and I met at Cal Poly. We loved the SLO life.
