Bridal Registry...what to put?

FI and I are going to update our registry today and I'm trying to think of what items to add that we may not be thinking of.....are there any items you wished you put on yours or items that your glad you got?

We have a house already so we have alot of the big stuff and we are upgrading a few things or getting things that we never bought like the kitchen aid mixer.  There are some things I don't have but I don't want to register for b/c I don't think I'll ever use it...like a roasting pan...I'll just use a pyrex dish.

So do you girls have any suggestions on things to add that I may not be thinking of?

Re: Bridal Registry...what to put?

  • My favorite items that I received so far are, my pyrex set, mixing bowls, everyday plates, dyson vacuum, and calphalon pots and pans. ?I registered for and received a roaster knowing that I wouldn't use it often, but when we have holidays at our house, it'll come in handy then. ?What stores did you register at? ?HTH
  • I would just suggest putting nice stuff on there. WHat I mean is, ppl want to buy you stuff. DOn't worry if its a bit more money b/c ppl will go in together.

One thing we are so glad about is that we registered for better quality stuff b/c we know it will hold up. We probably wouldn't have bought for ourselves......?

  • We are mainly registered at Bed Bath and Beyond with a few things at Target....We already have all of our pyrex stuff.....my mom bought us Calphalon pot's and good dishes and we also have a good vacuum already .....we did add another set of dishes and some new pots and pans, also some serving pieces, new towles, new sheats....I did put on a $150 stainless steal trash can and new bedding but I need some more items in the $30-50 range....and I feel like I'm missing something.

I wish I could register for floor tiles or something :)  we want to redo our kitchen after the wedding but I can't exactly register at Home Depot for floor tiles and a square foot of counter top :)

  • Things I am glad I got...

-garment steamer (my H does not iron and he will steam his clothes now...it is a lifesaver!)

    -extra sheet sets

    -matching towels for guest bathroom

-really nice vera wang double frame for a wedding pic and our invitation

    - wine cellar (  http://tinyurl.com/dcwck9 ) I can't make it clicky, sorry

  • Some things that I love that we got from our registry:

-Everything from Crate and Barrel (ha ha).  We got some nice serving dishes, a pitcher that has a separate sleeve for ice so your drinks don't get watery but stay cold

    -My Dyson

    -Riedel wine glasses

    -Nice towels

    -Extra sheets

    -Cold/Hot Pyrex Carrying case

  • I use my cast iron dutch oven at least once a week. ?I think it was like $70. ?So very useful. ?I also am glad for the extra sheets and towels.

  • You can register at Home Depot! ?Granted people might not get you what you need for your kitchen, they can get you gift cards and that will help when it's time. ?We were considering registering there, but didn't end up doing it. ?
  • Bed sheets, all clad measuring cups and spoons, baking sheets, parchment paper and a cookie dough scoop form w&s.

  • There are tons of kitchen gadgety things that I got from W&S that I love. Measuring cups, mini food processor, spatulas, whisks, garlic press, electric knife. Get yourself a roasting pan- if you make a turkey or large roast one day you'll be glad you did. Keep in mind, you will probably continue to cook more and more over time.
