Hi!

You have great taste! I came across your bio while doing a search for the bride & groom PEZ dispensers - my FI and I are doing the same thing for our wedding in August, we actually just got ours yesterday :)

Anyway - we are also REALLY into PEZ, FI started collecting dispensers when he was a kid and has a huge collection of them. I saw your house pictures and absolutely love your guys' PEZ room - and I showed FI, we are totally stealing that idea for the spare room in our condo. However, I had a question - do you have them just sitting on the shelves or did you fasten them down somehow? I was thinking about using double sided tape squares...

Kinda random, but I had to ask :)

  • Hey! I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner...I'm usually on the What's Cooking board, so I'm glad I happen to see that you paged me over here!

That's awesome that you guys are into Pez, too! I've been collecting them since I was a little girl and I have tons! I couldn't even fit them all on those 4 shelves that I made, I still need to make another one.

I just have them sitting up there...no tape. You could do whatever works for you though. I was afraid of using tape and having them get tacky on the bottom of I tried to take it off some day, you know? None have them have fallen off yet :o)

  • Hello!

Thanks for replying - I wasn't sure where you posted the most, but figured the local board was a safe bet :)

My FI started collecting them around 8, he doesn't really collect them anymore unless someone buys him one - but he has his entire collection in boxes in his parents garage! A lot of his are still in the original packaging, be he said he had a ton of loose ones as well. Since we've been together I've started collecting a few here and there, so fun!

I didn't think about the tackiness issue - the wall that we plan on putting the shelves on is right by the front door and I'm worried that every time we open and shut it, it will shake that wall and knock them over :) FI said he displayed his on a shelf when he was in HS and they occasionally would make a "nice domino effect!" haha. However, it will be awhile until we can actually ship his collection from his parents in WA to our condo in AK. There is a ton of stuff to ship, and they are towards the bottom of the list.

Anyway - I'll probably be posting on the D&R board now that I have a place to decorate so I'll see you around :) Thanks again!

  • Almost forgot - what is the name/brand of the color paint in your guest bathroom? I love that shade of blue!
  •  Oh yeah, you could have some issues if you put them by the front door! lol...not fun! In that case you may want to use double stick tape. How fun! I would love to see pics when you're all done...have fun decorating your new place! I post on D&R so maybe I'll see you over there :o)

And I'm sorry, but I have NO idea what color of paint I used. I bought in the the 50% off reject paint section at Lowes! You know, when someone gets paint mixed and they don't like the color...then other poeple can come buy it for half off? That's where I got the blue!
