He/she was dancing!

A few days ago I had my 1st u/s. I was so excited, but also apprehensive. I don't think I slept much the night before.  I was just praying that everything would be alright, and thankfully, it did!  He/she was waving his/her little hands, and his/her feet were moving back and forth! It was so exciting, and was so relieve to see her... ehhh... his little heart beating.  We didn't hear the hb, but my dr reassured me that it was too early, but I was just happy to see him... her moving.  He/she looked like he/she was dancing! I have no rhythm, so he... ahh... she must have gotten that from my DH's side of the family.Big Smile

The pics didn't scan that well, but here they are:

  • Thanks, Kim! I swear I started crying when I saw him moving.  I was so relieved!
  • Yay. That's great news. It's amazing how something so small can wiggle so much isn't it?

Yeah... I thought she would be just lying there still, but it was amazing to see him move.  I wish I could have watched him longer.

It takes too long to write she and he, so I'll just use both pronouns.

I always used "it". By the time of my big u/s I was so tired of saying "it". I just couldn't wait to say she or he.

  • It is pretty amazing! That is one lovely blob you've got there Smile
  • Yes! It takes me back to the u/s in siggy. She had just waved her little hand at us when they captured the pic. Her fingers were all splayed and she was swimming around in there. It's so exciting! I'm happy for you and know that everything will go well!
  • How cute. That is so exciting!  It makes me remember my first ultra sound after seeing all that movement I had to look down at my belly and think, wow, there really is a  baby in there! Big Smile
  • That's awesome Sushi!

  • That is a great looking bean you got there! Wink
  • What a happy bean! Thanks for sharing, I love u/s pictures. It's really cool to see how the baby grows. It's one thing to see your belly grow, but to see the baby inside it that is making your belly grow is another. You rock Sushi!!
  • He/She is just BEAUTIFUL! It makes me cry because they are so beautiful from the very beginning! Enjoy every minute!

I was saying "it" at first, too, but then I felt bad after a while.

  • Thanks, ladies! It was truly amazing!
  • Sorry I'm late on this Jewels, but I'm soo happy for you and so glad to hear your little baby was dancing around! Big Smile
  • Aw what a beautiful moment. :) I'm so happy for you.
  • That is so exciting!!!  I'm so happy for you!!

I SOBBED during my first U/S with Sarah...I was so thrilled to see that little h/b!  I had a missed m/c 2 years earlier...discovered at the 10 week u/s...so I was a nervous wreck going in for this first one...
