Anything by Jane Green, she's great.  Emily Giffin's books are good too.  Both are fun, light reading.

  • I don't know what kind of books you are into, but I love a good, light "chick-lit" book.  I love anything by Jennifer Weiner or Sophie Kinsella.
  • I like all 4 of the authors mentioned.  All easy, fun reads.
  • Empire Falls  and Bridge of Sighs are both by Richard Russo and both favorites of mine.  Just be warned you're in for a long read...both books are about 500 pages.  But I didn't want to put them down.

  • I agree with all the pp's, but i also recommend Jen Lancaster. ?Bitter is the new black is seriously the funniest book i've ever read.
  • If you want funny you have to read:

Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea and My Life on the Horizontal List both by Chelsea Handler.

I have never laughed out loud at a book before but she had me in tears.  I'm also easily amused.

You should also read some classics.  I LOVE Pride and Prejudice.

I just started reading this one Friday and I'm having trouble getting into it, so I'm glad to hear you thought it was great.

  • Hang in there, there were some slow parts but as I got to the middle I kept picking it up to find out what happenes next, but in the end I sat back and said that was good, it was pretty cute too.
