The board has been slow this week! Hope everyone is ok!
Well my 3-hour glucose test came back positive for gestational diabetes. 
I have an appointment with a specialist next Thursday, who is going to put me on a strict diet. Yuck!
On the bright side, I didn't get pink-slipped at work. As relieved as I am, it sucks that my school is losing 9, possibly 11 teachers (some of who are really great at what they do).
But anyway, enough about me. Any plans for the weekend?

DarbyKat - so sorry to hear about glucose test! You'll be fine though and so will the little one! I was a type 2 diabetic before getting pg and was actually put on insulin during the pregnancy (back on type 2 meds now) and everything turned out just fine!
I've got 3 conference calls this morning then have to spend the afternoon testing - blah...We've actually got a pretty busy weekend. Sarah has her Little Gym class tomorrow morning, then we have to run to Target. Then we have her babysitter coming tomorrow afternoon to watch her while DH and I do a "movie day" and go out to dinner! I can't wait! Sunday we're going to Lampost Pizza in Corona with some friends for pizza and trivia. We havent' done that in awhie, either. Should be fun!
Just found out that I'll most likely have to fly up to the Bay Area for the day on Monday...

So sorry to hear about the GD, Irma. I hope the diet is manageable.
But yay for no pink slip. I know my friend is really worried about that right now too.
Today we are having friends over for lunch. Well actually we are going out for lunch. Then we are having different friends over to stay the night because he and H are going Jeeping tomorrow. And his fiance and I are going shopping.
Does anybody know if there is a nice dress shop at Cabazon??
darbykat - sorry to hear about the diagnosis but glad you didnt get the pink slip!
Last night we went to IKEA and got the pergo flooring we wanted and the best part was that it was on sale!!! I've been feeling really achy lately and last night I was feeling pretty crummy. Of course I made the big mistake of googling my symptoms and it said I could had anything from the flu to leukemia since I tend to be a worst case scenario person I spent the rest of the night being mellow dramatic.
Today I woke up feeling better but by the time I got to work I felt worse. I wish I could go home and rest but I'm slammed with work that I need to get done today so I'm not planning to do much tonight.
Tomorrow - more rest and then heading to a going away party for H's friend who is being deployed to Afghanistan.
Friday - resting and then dinner with the ILs (if I feel better)
We went out to dinner with friends last which was fun. Came home and cleaned our bedroom. Pulled out half the furniture from the office/guest bedroom as we bought a new desk online.
Dh called this morning to tell me that the desk arrived but that also one of the cats peed in the corner! I am really mad right now. I think it happened because we were moving around furniture in "their room".
Anyone have any suggestions of cleaning stuff to buy? We have never had either of them do this so I don't know how to clean it. I soooo don't want to be the person whose place smells like cat pee!
Pour baking soda on it to soak it up...leave it on for awhile...you'll see it soak it up. If it's too late for that, we use Nature's Miracle or Resolve for pet stains. Both work really well.

Last night night DH and I went out to dinner and to Target.
Tonight we are going to see Lisa Williams at Club Nokia and to dinner
Tomorrow we are just going to clean the house, yard work, etc. and wait for my step-kids to come over.
Sunday we are taking the kids to Big Bear to play in the snow

The GD/strict diet thing suck, but on the positive side you'll only have to endure it for two more months! That is great that you didn't get slipped. Lately all I've been hearing is news about teachers being laid off. My district has estimated 200 teachers will receive them while they move others back into the classroom. We still haven't heard anything though I think they are going to wait until the deadline.
This weekend I was going to be working on addressing shower invites with my hostess and registering, but b/c of my stint in labor and delivery I'll just be relaxing and taking it easy.

Hopefully they will reverse their decision before the end of the school year. Education funding is really bad right now though.
I haven't been around much it's been a rough week. I came down with a case of mastitis. Fever,headache,swollen boobies the whole bit-definitely not fun. J & I never wanted to nap at the same time so nothing got done around the house and I am just so glad it's friday.
My parents are taking Isabel camping for the weekend. I am going to spending the time relaxing and doing as much as I can for their anniversary party.
Darby-that really sucks. I hope the diet isn't too bad. BUt yey for no pink slip.?
If the other suggestions don't work, there's this stuff at Albertson's called "PEE PEE" that we use. My cat decided to pee on our couch and that stuff really worked! No trace of her pee pee with Pee Pee.
Omg my cat peed on my bed last night - it was HORRIBLE! I use this stuff from PetSmart- it is an enzyme cleaner and it comes with a black light (so you are sure to hit all of the affected spots). Then they have this Orange Cleaner (cats hate citrus) from Nature's Miracle, that is also an enzyme cleaner to fix the smell. The enzyme cleaner is supposed to break down the cat pee- not just cover it up- and it works for us every time one of the boogers has an accident. DH is taking her to the vet today- she only does this when she gets a UTI
I'm at work praying for the day to end. Today is the first paycheck we're getting with our 10% pay cut, so I'm really anxious to know how much money I'll be missing.
Have a Wii bowling tournament tomorrow and a birthday party for my cousin's baby
Other than that- nothing big planned- just some cleaning and laundry- I hate being a grownup, lol!
No thankfully not, J has tenure so she is not being affected. This was a different friend.
