Who did OCRW meals?
How were they?
Re: OCRW - in review
We did TAPS on Sunday (2/22) and it was kinda meh - their own special fixed menu was a better value than OCRW for $5 more and it included a beer (and had a much better selection of food). The dessert & chowder were awesome but my main course was oily and greasy, I only had two or three bites and stopped eating it. The waiter asked why I didn't like it and I mentioned why (R tasted it and had the same feeling) to which he replied, "Well pregnancy changes your taste, it's not our food" because we had explained earlier why I didn't want the beer from their special menu.
It put me in a pissy mood for the rest of the meal. It's too bad, I like the rest of my meal...

I've only done the lunch deals so far...
Zov's was meh...they made smaller portions for the OCRW menu which irked me and not worth the $
I also went to Wolfgang Puck bistro at the SCP Macys...better deal for their lunch menu and much better food than Zov's
We did two:
Simply Fondue in San Juan: food was pretty good, but it was the exact same menu for the exact same price as it is normally. I was fairly annoyed about this since I was only in town for two nights last week and I wish I wouldn't have wasted one of our opportunities.
Stonehill Tavern: I had been prepped by people I know who had already gone, so I think I had the best possible experience. We stuck to the things that people loved (e.g. chicken, trout, shrimp, root beer dessert with amazing cookies) and avoided the salty shortribs. Plus I had requested a fancy private booth so we weren't all squished. I was very pleased.
I went to Savannah Chop House with mboc and mrmboc and their friend. THe food was speccctacular. The company was even better. They were out of the prime rib but the steak I had instead definitely didn't disappoint - so tender. Jalapeno cheddar mashed potatoes were tdf. Wine courtesy of mboc was sooo good. Creme brulee was amazing.
Stone Hill Tavern with LYB and YL and a friend. I was shocked at the $8 water and the shortribs, or what YL called "saltlicks". But aside from that, the food was really good and my lychee martini was so yum yum.
