I need help!

My parents anniversary party is in 2 weeks and my bro and sis flaked on me so now I need to do everything.

Including finding food and the rentals. Does anyone know of any good places for food and renting tables and chairs in the fullerton area?? I am looking to do appetizers and finger food. And budget is definitely an issue.?

Also I could really use some help from you ladies who created your own wedding stationary. I want to do some sort of ?design to add to centerpieces and favors and such. cause on top of finding all this stuff I still have to build all the centerpieces.

It's major panic mode over here.?

?

Re: I need help!

  • Kat - i wont be much help in terms of catering companies but if you need help with stationary stuff, I'm happy to help :)
  • Noosh-that would be so awesome!! I was hoping you would offer to help since I love your wedding stationary.
  • Aw thanks! I miss doing it now that the wedding is over and I've been helping some friends who are planning their weddings just so I can keep up with it.  I've actually been thinking of volunteering up my "services" to all the new IE mommies because I've been dying to do some birth announcements :)

Anyway I think you have my email so just let me know!

  • BTW I know a lot of past and present IE knotties have been big fans of Raquel's Linens (although I think they just do linens). I think they are in Riverside but they deliver anywhere and their prices are suppose to be very reasonable.

You might want to ask on the OC and IE knot boards too

  • If you need help assembling (favors, silverware, etc...) just let me know and I'd be happy to help! I'm available most evenings as soon as I get home from work (DH works evenings ;) ).

For my parents' anniversary favors we did a candy table- just a bunch of jars full of random candies with little scoops with the little Chinese food takeout boxes (or even the clear baggies with ribbon).

My cousin is a DJ and does a GREAT job- he's pretty reasonable too- not sure how busy he is that week though.

What other things are you looking to plan for the party?

If you want- feel free to contact me here: lenasinclair05 at hotmail dot com

Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
  • I suggest checking with Costco or Sam's for the food. Their prices are pretty reasonable and they'll prepare everything for you, or you can buy some of their packaged stuff to set up yourself. Catering companies would be way too much mula if you can avoid it.  How many people are you expecting?

Yeah we are kind of thinking of just ordering a bunch of deli trays. WE invited 65 but so far only 20 people have RSVP'd so who knows how many will actually show up.?

  • A good rule is only about have that you invite actually show up. So you can probably plan for about 40 and be ok. I think Deli trays and stuff would be your best bet honestly. We did that for appatizers at the wedding and it worked out really well.
