wedding and Saints - ideas?
Hi NOLA nesties, I'm a born and raised NOLA girl who now lives out of state. One of my best friends is like me, a New Orleanian transplanted up north. She's getting married back home in the fall. I have never known as die-hard of a Saints fan as this girl - - she really would lay down on train tracks for the Saints! So, I'm trying to come up with some kind of cool surprise for her at either her wedding reception or at her shower or something that would involve the Saints. Any ideas? Of course if I could write letters and somehow get a player or something to come, that would be amazing - - but I doubt that's possible. I considered hiring Gumbo, the Saints mascot, to make an appearance - but would that be juvenile? Any other ideas??? I know this is out there, and there's a chance it won't happen - but it's worth thinking about, and I have some time to try and make something special happen for my friend. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I have a few ideas that aren't extravagant.
1. Have her bridal shower cake in the shape of a Saints fleur de lis.
2. Buy her a Saints garter to wear.
