Okay, I had to go hunt the answer down on the Bump since I knew I'd probably be gone for the night before it came out. LOL
Congrats!! What made you decide to find out?
We had the u/s tech write it down and we opened it when we got home. Actually Blair opened it and based on his reaction I honestly thought we were having 2 boys. The tech was cute. She included the money shot pictures and pointed to where you could see the parts and wrote "Congrats! It's a girl!" on each one. Blair is disappointed. Hopefully he will come around.
So it's 2 girls???? Congrats!!! Didn't you think if Blair got girls the first time he'd want to have more kids so he could have a boy?
You're going to have so much fun buying them clothes and decorating their room!
In all honesty, he's very disappointed. And right now he is saying he doesn't want anymore. I've always wanted 4 and thought we agreed on 3. So we agreed to talk about it again at the end of 2010. Hopefully he will want more.
Oh I'm sorry to hear he's disappointed. This is a happy exciting day and I wish he was more happy about it. I can tell you that MH might have had the same reaction if we were having a girl too...so it's understandable. And you're right it's not something that has to be decided right now. My hope is that the second he lays eyes on those cute little girls he completely changes his mind about having more
Congratulations! THe minute he sets eyes on those two little girls, they'll be wrapped around his finger forever.
I'll confess that when I first heard we were having a boy, I was a bit disappointed too, mainly because I had no idea how to deal with boy stuff. (i.e. boy toys and clothes and just general attitude later in life). NOw, I wouldn't change it for the world. If we get the opportunity to have another kid, I'd love to have a girl but in the back of my mind, I keep saying, two boys would be nice too.
Once the inital shock wears off, he'll be extatic. I mean, somebody needs to protect them when the boys come knocking at the door ;o)
You're absolutely right! And I have to say it makes me feel better knowing that he isn't the only one that was initially disappointed or shocked. I think he just needs to get used to it and meet them.
