POLL: Spring Cleaning?
Are you planning to do any Spring cleaning this year? If so what items are on your must do list?

i do plan on spring cleaning this year. last year the hyper homemaker http://hyperhomemaker.blogspot.com/ did a spring cleaning challenge and it was really thorough. i know she will be doing it this year after lent, so keep an eye on her blog.
here is what is on my list for now (until i see hyper homemaker's blog):
- clean, purge, and organize garage (build new shelves, put up peg board, re-label totes.
- clean, purge, and organize master bedroom closet and loft storage closet.
- scrub down baseboards, blinds, windows and cabinet insides and fronts.
- get carpets cleaned.
- have AC and Heater unit cleaned.
- clean solarium (we use that room as our home gym. mats need to be cleaned and swept, machines and weights need to be wiped down).
- pull out washer and dryer, clean behind them.
- wash curtains, hang bed quilts and comforters out on my mom's laundry line to freshen up.
- change all filters and rotate mattress.
phew....
We do so much cleaning/organizing throughout the year since DH is a clean freak. I'm not sure what we will do as far as spring cleaning. We obviously have to start the nursery soon so I will be moving all of my lia sophia stuff out of my office to make room for baby. DH and I are going to share an office...this should be interesting. Other than that, maybe reorganize the kitchen cabinets and purge stuff in closets throughout the house.
Allie...I like to see that you are having your a/c and heat cleaned AND that you are changing filters!!!! I do marketing for this everyday!!!
I am in a complete nesting phase right now. In fact I think I've taken it to the extreme. DH is going to IKEA this weekend to pick up our new bedroom furniture. In the next few weeks before baby, we will be painting and reorganizing our room. We need to go through alllll of our clothes and get rid of the stuff we don't use. I think we're going to have a yard sale this spring/summer. We really want to get all of our unused stuff OUT!
Yesterday I went through all of our files and reorganized them! I made a completely new filing system to help cut down on the clutter.
I really hope our efforts pay off! We have really limited storage space in our home (three really small bedroom closets and that's it!). We really need all the organization we can get!
Wow Allie that list made me tired just reading it!! Right now the main things I can think of are clean and organize the basement, run the self-clean on the oven, clean the patio furniture, and organize the bedroom closets. I might actually do my part of our master closet tomorrow.
I already cleaned and organized the garage last weekend although I saw a great system at the builder's show that I want but that's going to be probably a 2010 project because I'm sure it won't be cheap!
