Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Siggys

If you need to edit or change don't go to the old place.

You can now go to the little head icon under where is says community and update in there.  If you need to put a ticker or image in of any kind you have to hit the "source" button the looks like "<>" and add your html code.  You should only have to save it once.

  • @frizby when you figure it out will you help me? I don't even know if I have a siggy right now and you know how I am about these things.
  • @bruinsbabe33 , I just clicked on the second link that @nestcayla provided in her comment above. I deleted my old sig (from MARCH) and added my new one. AND I only had to save once. ;)

@NestCayla When I go to edit my siggy everything is centered, but when I post it is not. Please help!
Go back to your signature and select "Show Source".
Do you see <...div style="text-align: center;"> at the beginning and <.../div> at the very end? (... added by me so you can see the code)

  • @BruinsBabe33 - you currently have your February Siggy, I would go to the old place for your Siggy, copy it, then go to the new place(click on the head In the top right and find it there) and paste and hit save.
  • @frizby what was my February siggy?
  • Help! How did you make your sig pic smaller? I can't figure it out at all. Like I'm 5, please.  :((

  • I honestly had to only use thumbnail pics that d had made for our wedding website. All the others came out ginormous. If you figure it out that would be nice!

I always edit mine using HTML.
    Select "show source"
    <..img src="image http location" width="160" height="100">

    Remove the ...
Enter the image location between the quotes
Change the width/height pixels to your liking.

ETA: I think you're supposed to be able to click on the picture and drag the corners to resize, but I can't get that to work. So I stick with trusty HTML.

  • @poppies717 No problem!  If you want to change the sizes, just adjust the pixel number in quotes width="xxx" and "height="xxx"
