Toning Tuesday

How's everyones work outs and healthy eating going?

I'm getting to the gym at least twice a week.  I think I need to add some work outs at home when I have time to work out but not get to the gym, Oh hello Jillian and Bob... it's been a while...

  • I am getting back into the groove of the gym thing. Now that Chase has football practice Monday-Thursday from 5:30-8pm we have plenty of time to get to the gym.

    I think going to the gym is good mentally for DH. Hes seems so much calmer after leaving. Its just getting him there if hes had a bad day. My 10 hour days are done this week so I will be home by 3:30 again so it will be much easier for me to have the motivation to go which will increase his desire to go as well.

    We are going to talk to someone today to see if we can set up a meeting with a trainer to see if they can set us up on a training program together so we can work out together instead of at opposite sides of the gym. Plus having someone telling us what we should do feels more accomplishing that doing what we think we should be doing.

    I think we need to move away from the machines and on to the free weights. But I wouldnt even know where to begin.

  • I'm trying to get myself out of the habit of working out right after I get out of bed in the morning...since I won't be able to very soon.  As a result, I did nothing yesterday.  I'm annoyed.
  • Jill - it's way easier to get to the gym now I'm on 8 hour days.  I have no idea if we are going back to 9 hour days after furloughs.  While I love my Fridays off, I do feel like I have more time each night.  Wish I could have both, and ge paid the same!

  • I'm getting back into the swing of my workouts and healthy eating.  we're back on the low carb/high protein diet and I went to my RIPPED class last night. tonight i'll run and hopefully keep that up through the week since I have a 5k to run very soon!

    Weight Watchers sucks...aka I suck at it and I'm starving and want chocolate. But I also want to fit in my clothes. We've been taking nightly walks, but I've got to do something else. Technically I guess I'm not supposed to do much until after my appt. on the 13th. I bought new sneakers...that's a start!

    Girlfriend you just created another baby! Cut yourself some slack. You looked beautiful when you were pregnant. I can't image you look bad now!
