  • Recipes: Nothing for this...I haven't made anything new in a while

    Food recommendations: I'm addicted to bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches. I eat them for lunch almost every day. Probably not the best thing for me, but the egg is good (right?!) lol

    Biggest recent food splurge:Went to Maine this weekend and went to the Olive Garden with my Mom and had the most amazing meal...then I ate a bunch of ice cream all weekend long!

  • Recipes: Nothing honestly I don't expierment much in the summer because it's too hot to stay in the kitchen.

    Food Recommendations: I have been all about breakfast food in general lately. I eat cereal several times a week not to mention the french toast and pancakes. I agree with Christine eggs are good!

    Food Splurge: I also had Olive Garden this weekend and it was amazing I think that's the most I have eaten in a while.
  • Recipes: My H cooks so Im useless when it comes to this! 

    Food recommendations: I been on a smoothie kick...i did this one with avocado and milk so yum!

    Biggest recent food splurge: I went to DC cupcakes this weekend, got a salted caramel cupcake, the best thing I have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Recipes: I made a fittata the other day. It came out good for the first time. It was made in a cast iron pan with 8 eggs (I was short two), ground turkey, yellow and red pepper, onions, black pepper, sea salt, and sliced tomatoes on top.

    Food recommendations: I've been eating clean (or at least trying to), so I've cut a lot of crap out of my diet. I'm a little jealous of those eating ice cream and Olive Garden! LOL.

    Biggest recent food splurge: I had a really bad day on Friday and I forgot my lunch. I had a meatball sub. And I regretted it.
  • Recipes: I haven't been too adventerous lately, but I have some yummy stuff planned for this weekend! Healthier biscuits & gravy (homemade red. fat biscuits & turkey instead of pork sausage), cornmeal pancakes with blackberry syrup from scratch, coconut curried mussels and homemade ricotta gnocchi with pancetta, peas, chanterelles & brown butter!  

    Food recommendation: I've been hitting up our farmer's market a lot lately. A couple weekends ago I grilled a ton of veggies (zucchini, portobello mushrooms, eggplant, asparagus, tomatoes). Half went with steak for dinner and the other half went with pasta and goat cheese for another yummy meal!

    Biggest recent food splurge: I made seared scallops last night, they were expensive, but soooo good! We also have a new froyo place near us. It's pretty healthy and made with local ingredients, but crazy expensive! Luckily H doesn't like it, so we don't go that much.
