I'm not sure if you guys follow my blog but I have been having progesterone issues and tomorrow I am meeting with the doctor to discuss Clomid. Anyone use the drug? What should I expect? Questions to ask? Cost of clomid?
I'm nervous about taking fertility drugs. I'm curious what are other options such as taking progesterone and hoping I ovulate on my own. If I was to take Clomid to take pregnant wouldn't I need progesterone anyway once I got pregnant?
Is care by an OB sufficient enough or should I seek a second opinion by a fertility specialist?

Re: Clomid
@Olalala157 I also ovulate on my own and the RE prescribed me clomid. The reason they did it for me was because they wanted to give DH's sperm eggs to try and fertilize.
Because you ovulate on your own and there isn't a known issue with Stephen I think its odd they're going to put you on Clomid. But i'm sure they have a reason for it. Just make sure you're monitored. I've heard horror stories about people who do medicated cycles without being monitored.
the cost of it isn't that expensive at all...for some reason i'm thinking it was $5 total or $5 a pill and you only are on the pills for a couple of days.

and a regular OB can certainly handle giving you clomid as long as your monitored.
because you have 2 losses, it may be worth it to talk to an Reproductive Endocronologist

hmm I don't know. you certainly do have low progesterone but I don't know that it being over a 5 confirms ovulation?
I think you probably need to chart but that was difficult for you to do because A was waking up in the middle of the night, right?

hmm! that just stinks.
well if I know anything its that TTC is a pain in the ass! I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this:(
good luck at the DR's. just make sure if they're going to put you on clomid they monitor you. and let us know how it goes!
