What is yours?

Mine is that my MIL constantly comments, posts on fb walls, and makes gifts for J's friends wife, but I am lucky if I get a birthday card in the mail...

I don't want her in our lives, but then I get mad that she doesn't make effort to be involved in our lives. Stupid, I know.

1.) I'm currently irritated that my mom is continually bashing my idea for my sister's bachelorette party because she's not the one who came up with it. She's currently on her computer looking up "other ideas" that are "better". (we're going to a giant's baseball game in san francisco, my sister's favorite team, then going out for drinks after). My mom's excuses so far are that my sister "can't walk to the stadium from the car" (She was hit by a car maybe 7 years ago and broke lots of bones and hips, but we went shopping two days ago for four hours, walking the whole time...), "san francisco is too far" (then she mentions getting tickets to go out on a boat in san fran), "she'll get sunburned before the wedding" (the game is a month before the wedding), "she'll then have a bad tan for the wedding" (it's a month before, we'll be responsible), and so on and so on.

For my bachelorette party, she found the comedy club we went to and 2 years later STILL brings up "wasn't that so much fun? I found the place". I understand she wants to feel important, but I'm throwing the bachelorette party

a little frustrating and irritating having to fight for it.

2.) hmmm, other irritations? My mother in law told us she wants us to start TTC in October... so I'll be 7 months pregnant when I graduate... and she says "nothing ever goes wrong in the first 6 months of a pregnancy so i'll be okay"...grrr, thanks for letting me know i can have unprotected sex with my husband starting october...

Oh and can I add another irrational irritation? My sister's bridal shower is Sunday. I picked out calm ivory and blue decorations, with palm tree plates, etc. All classy looking, calm beachy, etc...

My mom is now pulling out bright colored decorations, like you would see at a kid birthday party. Multicolor fake flower lanterns to hang, bright trashcan covers, bright "murals" for the walls... Kind of threw my classy blue and ivory theme out the window. I'm disappointed that this isn't coming out the way I wanted it to... The last thing I wanted was it to look cheesy. But yet again, my mom has to be the one to take credit and has her own idea of what will look nice... She just went out and bought stuff without telling me, which is suuuuuper frustrating. So now it looks like we have my classy beach stuff, and her bright luau stuff... and I have no choice but to use her stuff too. Bleh

Haha thanks Jen! Sometimes I feel irrational though! I mean, they're just decorations, but still. I really wanted to do it! Haha

And yes, my sex life isn't any of her business >.< she's very forward. A month into Jared and I DATING, she said I had "child bearing hips". Last thanks giving, she interrupted the food prayer to say "and we pray that Jeannine and Jared get pregnant with a girl very soon amen" and started serving. She's veerrrrry opinionated haha

Gosh... neither seem irrational ladies.

Mine is really irrational. It's more of a pet peeve though. When you are in a concert band, playing a multi movement piece, and the people clap in between the movements! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!

Oh, I may have played in a concert tonight.

I do get irritated by my MIL's insistence that she never said we should have kids soon. Maybe I pick up on her body language.

Mine is how my mom always makes negative comments towards me. Today she said I almost had a Marin mood... Which is my middle name and I never knew she referred to me having anxiety as my middle name. Is that like my evil twin? Then the day I had the miscarriage she said were you trying? Like if we weren't the miscarriage would have been fine. Ugh.

I guess it's not irrational but I get really irritated when T will start picking on me and I will ask him to please stop. Then he keeps going and going and going because he thinks he's funny. I've said to him more than once "are you 12? knock it off!"

I am also very irritated with the paper cut on my finger that hurts like heck. And is slightly infected. = (

Another not so irrational irritation: My mom just told me the way I'm doing the shell cookie cutters tied to cards looks "stupid". Bleeeeh. Nothing is right unless she comes up with how it is done >.<

J does this to me too. He doesn't know when to stop sometimes.

At the moment I am very irritated with my in-laws. They came last week to watch Liliana and again yesterday. They do not respect my belongings or my wishes for how I want Liliana to be cared for.

Last week when I came home MIL was weeding my patio area and the burners were all taken off of the stove because she was cleaning my stove. I asked her to please not clean. She clearly didn't listen. It bothers me because her and my FIL make it seem like I can't take care of my own house. FIL changed her diaper and put WAY too much diaper cream on her (she didn't even need it). The cream was all up in her "lady parts". I was pissed. Diaper cream should not be up there, it should be on the bottom only and he should not have put it on if he didn't know that.

Yesterday I told MIL to only give formula if she is really fussy or doesn't seem satisfied after a breast milk bottle. I get home and see 5 breast milk bottles in the fridge, when I left there were 6 in there. I was gone for 8 hours, which means she got at least 3 bottles of formula. And poor little baby was constipated. Ugh!
