  We walk and bounce. Also, she loves her changing table so sometimes we'll go and just lay her down on it to let her calm down (obviously we don't leave her alone on there).

  Funny, so do mine! I think it's the light, it's right in front of a big window. We have a baby station set up in the bar area of our house (sad that our bar is now all baby stuff)... It's so I don't have to run to their room for everything.
  Anyway, they love their changing station.

  Walking around was always a big one and bouncing...now we all automatically bounce when holding her. I hum or sing softly and DH whistles. At my parent's they have a hallway full of pictures and she loves walking up and down and looking at the pictures. Oh and if she was really upset we could hold her upside down and she loved it.It was so weird!

  Upside down, eh? At what age did you start that?

  When she was littler it was the football hold. She loved to be held face down on her tummy. Otherwise we'd just walk outside. It's like an off switch.

  I hold him under my armpit face down (like a football) and he loves it, I will toss him up and catch him and he loves that too.  Other than that we've done bath time, walk, go outside, make funny noises (R loves fart noises, I once sat in the backseat of the car making fart noises for 2 hours) and a car ride.

  The changing table has always been magic. We never bounced, but we sway a lot.

  
  

  L LOVES his seahorse but not until he was 3-4 months. Before that he didn't really care, but now it's part of his nap routine. As soon as he's in his crib he rolls on his side and looks for the seahorse.

  When M was younger she loved when I would hold her in a cradle hold, stand up, and sway side to side quickly. She also liked to be bounced. She still loves her soothing sounds puppy (like the sleep sheep but Carter's version).

  I think DH started putting her upside down almost right away but just for a second. She really started liking it around 3 months

  At our baby basics class, they suggested standing in front of a blank wall with baby facing the wall, and slowly swaying or bouncing. They said having a blank canvas helped calm them if they were getting overstimulated.

  Tdm- how long does that horse light up for? We bought two before the babies were born, I wanted an original glow worm but couldn't find one. I guess I should introduce their horses!
  
  All good stuff, my tool belt is loaded with 'calm me downs'. I'm a little apprehensive of the upside down, but sometimes I'll try anything!

  It was to wrap him in a fuzzy blanket. Like, behind his head so that he could feel totally secure.

  My sister bought me the glow seahorse and even though Jacob isn't here yet...I turned it on once to see what it was like, and it was almost soothing to me!! Her friend had a baby and had one and said he loves it so much that's why she bought me one....

  We put a windchime in his room.  If he's fussy, all we have to do is let him touch it to make noise and he calms right down.  Either that or I put him on his back on the bed and put my hands on either side of him and press down on the bed so he slightly bounces and I say "Bouncey baby, bouncey baby, bouncey baby".  He LOVES that.  Instantly starts laughing.

  the seahorse runs for about 5 minutes. it didn't do much for LO. we still have him, we named him bubbles. he put me to sleep more times than he did the baby!

  Thanks to our wonderful RE our family is complete!

  I hear ya, I'm telling you guys if I'm having a rough day, I go sit in his nursery and either listen to his seahorse or his sound machine (ocean waves) and it instantly relaxes me, I hope it does the same for Jacob when he comes!
