Nest Book Club
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

So....

How's it going today, everyone!? I know you are all still exploring the new features on the new community platform. Please let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything! Feel free to PM me any time

Re: So....

  • I just wanted to point out that when you post a new discussion and hit the "Preview" button, it doesn't preview...it just posts. I've tried this twice and each time there was no preview.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

Hmmm -- very interesting. I just tested this myself to check it out and I had no problem previewing in a pop-up on the screen. Then, once I was done previewing I X'ed out of the window. Please let me know if this keeps happening to you so we can get it fixed!

At this point you can not tell if a user is online, but you can see when the last time a user was active! You can find this information by clicking on a user's profile, the info will be right there!

Then how do we know if someone's lurking and not posting?!   :-$

Maybe it makes a difference that I'm on a Mac using Firefox? I get no pop up.

Yes you can delete posts. When you are in the post that you posted you'll see "new discussion" and right next to it looks like a little tool of an icon, click that and hit delete! Let me know if that answers your question!

  • @packfan20 & @skeezon -- I have spoken to my team about this and we are working on getting this feature working for you guys! We REALLY appreciate your patience while we get this fixed!

When you create a new post you have the option to ask a question and then when you like somebody's answer you can mark the question as answered. It's like Yahoo Answers.

Nope.  The little tool icon only gives me an "Edit" option.

@kinmir30, I just copy and pasted from the sidebar in my profile directly into the signature edit box.  If I get a new badge, I'll have to update my siggy manually.

You'll notice when someone posts a question under all of the posts in the thread you'll see "did this answer your question" and you can pick "yes" or "no" ... this means that whoever was the original poster found an answer that helped them. (FIY, whoever gives the best answer that is most helpful to the post will also receive points... and you ladies know what points help you earn!!!!!)

@NestCayla, Who decides which answer is the best?

Only the original poster gets the "yes" or "no" votes, and she can click "yes" to multiple answers.
