Long Distance Birthday
Hello fellow Nesties!
I am relatively new here and haven't posted much. However, from cruising the forums, I have surmised that many of you have great ideas. With that being said, I am in need of a bit of advice. My husband is currently living in Dubai (I am in the States) and his birthday is coming up. I am looking for ideas regarding how to make his birthday special, despite the distance. We talk everyday, Skype every weekend, and send each other packages regularly via mail, so I am looking for ideas that are a little beyond the normal scope of things - I really want to surprise him! I already attempted to get some time off of work here to pay him a visit, but my vacation request was denied, so there goes that idea. It would just be really awesome to do something out of the ordinary to let him know how much I love him (and miss him).
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!!

Bake a birthday cake and send it there --- send him a "care package" full of edible goodies that you can't buy over there: snack cakes, candy, munchies and the like.:)
They have all kinds of fancy edibles and snacks and candy and such.
Thank you for the AWESOME ideas ladies! I considered a sexy video, however I think it would end up being more comical than sensual - I am a tad awkward, to say the least, lol.
The lunch ideas are FANTASTIC! Last year I coordinated with his boss and had a cake delivered and that went over really well. Having lunch delivered is different enough to not be repetitive, and yet he can still "celebrate" with the camaraderie of his coworkers (which are like his family there). My husband is an avid foodie so this may work out quite well actually. I still have a "care-package" prepared for him, with a personalized iPod, snacks he likes, and some personal items as well. No sexy pictures, as customs there consider it "pornography" hahaha.
