When did it click for you?

I'm sure this question gets asked a lot, but when did it start sinking in that you were pg?

I'm curious to know what you ladies experienced.

  • mmmm......Sometime between the NT Scan and  A/S, like when I started to actually look pregnant and wear more maternity clothes. It still doesn't feel real all the time. The movement definitely helps, but its still very surreal.

  • I don't think it'll feel really until he/she comes out. Every once in a while, I have a moment where I'm like, "OMG, I'm pregnant!" Lol. As if every once in a while, I forget. Lol.

  • For me it was after the A/S. Finding out it was a boy and then the increased movement from him as well really made it all sink in.

  • Sometimes it hasn't sunk in yet.  In general, I would say at around 17 weeks when I started looking (and thus feeling pregnant.)  Also around that same time, we found out they were boys and I let myself start thinking about nursery and names.

Diagnosed with Severe DOR at 31 years old (AMH .14 FSH 9.8)
D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013

  • Ditto what Penn said. Even now at 32 weeks with a giant belly, I still have moments where I forget I'm pregnant. I have moments where it sinks in and I get really excited and anxious, but I don't think it'll really sink in until we are headed to the hospital to meet her and she gets placed into my arms. :)

  • My first ultrasound at 9 weeks but not until the baby started moving. The little baby was just sitting there still and then all of the sudden went into a little dance party and I was like Oh my gosh this is real! That little baby was inside me and it was moving. I may have cried a little.

  • I was in shock a few days after my A/S but then it really hit me like 2 days after. Lol. But just like the other ladies, I think it will really really hit me when she's born.
  • The holy $hit moment was when I got a positive pregnancy test. It didn't really sink in until after the anatomy scan and we knew she was a girl.

  • Usually only when I feel him move or DH and I talk about it. I "know" I am pregnant but it's still so surreal most of the time.

  • It's sinking in slowly but surely for me--a little bit more each time I see them or hear their heartbeats. People stare at my belly fairly frequently (which feels weird) and that makes it sink in a little too.

Sometimes I'm still not sure it's for real.

  • It still hasn't for me.. I find it odd that I'm a mom to a 7 month old. Lol

  • I think it really started to sink in when I felt him move. It was cool to see him on the U/S screen moving around but not until I felt those for sure kicks and punches. Also when people start staring at you because they know your pregnant but they are to scared to ask you. I'm so use to being started at everywhere I go now....sometimes it gets a little irritating "yes I'm pregnant go on with yourself"
