T&P (job related)

I have been searching for a teaching job where we moved to for the entire summer. I have applied for over 40 positions and only had 1 interview, which I did not get the job from. I have an out of state teaching license but it has reciprocity in this state and I have applied for a lateral entry license here. I am about to lose hope as school starts in 2 weeks, but I have applied for 6 new postings just this week. I am not sure what to do at this point. I know I can sub for decent money this school year, but I could really use the benefits as the cobra from my previous position is very expensive. Could I get some T&P that I get a teaching position or at least an interview in the next 2 weeks. I would really appreciate it a lot! Thanks.

  • I will definitely be thinking of you! I know a teaching job would be ideal but could you tutor at a sylvan it kum on if nothing comes up? I also don't know how it works in your state but here in WA you qualify for state healthcare regardless of income while pregnant and for a year post partum and children always qualify. There is also a non income based program I didn't know about but we are on now. We have to pay a premium of $80/mo but you can qualify regardless of income. Just food for thought! FX for a teaching job!

  • @wiggyslilsis unfortunately we do not qualify for any state healthcare or state assistance. My dh is about to get on a group plan through his school and we are going to talk with the guy about whether my pregnancy will be covered under that. If so that is cheaper than my current cobra will be so we may go that route. Otherwise I am stuck.
