*Vikingsfan* Houston coupon blog?

Hi! I just moved to the Houston area from out of state, so it would be a tremendous help if you would share that blog you mentioned in another post, please? I'm not familiar with Kroger, HEB, Randall's - and the differences between all of them!

Thank you!

Re: *Vikingsfan* Houston coupon blog?

  • Kroger has the best prices for everyday stuff- HEB I just shop the sales, and the same with Randalls. Make sure you sign up for cards at both Kroger and Randalls- a bonus at Kroger is that when you spend $100 at the grocery store, you get 10 cents off per gallon of gas at your next fill up. Randalls can be decent for the day to day stuff depending upon what type of Randalls is closest to you. Before we got married my DH had like the organic Randalls near him, and I HATED shopping there because everything was so freaking expensive.

the blog that I follow in Houston is Katy Couponers on facebook. Her website is http://www.katycouponers.blogspot.com/
One of the nice things I like about the blog is that you can leave a comment, so if you find a great deal at a store with or without a coupon, you can add that to her list of deals.

I live in North Katy and have lived mainly on the North and West sides of town- if you are in the area and have other questions, let me know!

  • Thank you so much for sharing! I've shopped Randall's and Kroger so far, and Kroger reminds me of my favorite grocery stores back North. (Only at those, we earned 10c/gal for every $50 spent!) I see they have 2x perks weekends, though, and are getting ready for a month-long gift card purchase bonus (4x points). I think the key now is for me to go shopping sans kids so I can take my time ans really comparison shop.

I'll check out Katy Couponers - thank you!

I live in Kingwood; very nice but it is taking some getting used to things down South here. LOL

Due to mail / postwoman issues (being on vacation - the sub doesn't want to mess her system, our mail was on hold, etc.), I probably won't be getting mail until next Monday. Do the circulars get delivered in the mail? It's nice to make my lists that way, versus having to go to the stores.

  • You should get your weekly grocery ads in the mail on Tuesday or Wednesday. Most stores down here go from Wednesday to Tuesday not Sunday through Saturday. They are also available online.
