Car Lease down payment error
I recently leased a car. The down payment was supposed to be a $500 rebate and $1000 cash from me. When signing the papers with finance, the down payment was listed as $500 in form of rebate. Nothing listed about $1000 and the terms were still what we had agreed upon. Am I still responsible for the cash even though the signed contract has no reference of it?
It is a long story but we were screwed over by this dealership. They sold us a car that had been in bad accident, repaired and sold with an old car fax report. They were the only ones who would take this car back because I threatened to take them to court. So DH is saying "karma is a b*tch". But, I feel guilty and want to show up with the $1,000.
