Rose Lovers: finale discussion time!
Full disclosure: I fell asleep some time during after the final rose. I saw the whole thing with Brooks, then I think I was a goner shortly after that. Not sure if I missed anything exciting, aside from the announcement of the next Bachelor (yay Juan Pablo!!!)
I still just don't see her with Chris for some reason. I can't put my finger on it, but I really feel like she wanted to make it work, not necessarily that she felt like it was working. Does that make sense? Anyone have insight after seeing them together on ATFR? I know she kept saying that she kept all of their relationships separate, but still....I just don't see how you can get past that type of heartbreak that she had with Brooks, thinking she would marry him, then turn around just a few days later & be like, "oh yeah....turns out I'd marry this guy, too!"

No clue who Juan Pablo is, but he seemed pretty hot.
I agree with what everyone else said - she's in love with the idea of being in love. She's said that she's never felt like anyone has loved her as much as she has loved them. Then here comes this guy who is madly in love with her (so it appears), so she knows he won't hurt her.
While I think there are some reciprocal feelings of love on her part, she's totally settling becasue she wants to be in love.
I think they will get married. I know people in real life who have done the same thing. The fact, though, is that a few years down the line they come to their senses that they aren't in love with that person and they end up divorced or very unhappy.
I must go check out Juan now!
(That's my post above, by the way! I logged in under the wrong email address. LOL Blast from the past, eh?!)
My three sons!
You all know I'm always into the spoilers and Reality Steve never wavered for a minute that it's Des and Brooks at the end. Last week I was all 'yeah, Brooks will be back.' Then I was thinking she'd pull a Mesnick and she'd be with Brooks on ATFR. Color me completely shocked with the ending this year. I guess this is the one time a spoiler being wrong was more exciting than the entire season.
I REALLY don't see them lasting.
