Fever ... Maybe related to my TMI post

Sorry for being such a PW, but...

I felt really hot, as in sweating while just laying on the couch and it's not hot out here. I decided to take my temp and it's 99.1 - I can't find my papers from the doctor of when to be concerned and to call about a fever. Does anyone know what temp is considered high enough to call?

  • It really depends on what your temp usually runs. I think my dr said over 100-101, but don't quote me. Take a tylenol, and if you feel worse call the doctor. Sweating with a fever is usually a good sign though, if you were having chills I'd be more worried.

  • 99.1 isn't really high enough to be a fever, and your body temperature when pregnant can rise a little bit normally due to all the hormones. If it gets higher than 100.4 or so, and doesn't go down with tylenol, I'd call.

Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
  • Thanks ladies, I'm pretty sure I'm good to go now. I've never just gotten a temp like that before.

  • I understand that. My temperature generally runs 96.8-97.4. If I'm at 99.1 I am hurting and having chills/shakes. If I ever get to the supposed 100.4 I will have to be driven to the ER by my DH because I will be so sick and out of it that they will think I'm half dead.

I'm glad you are feeling better.
