  Are there any great hotels with spas/ restaurants on the premises nearby? Maybe a few days of massages/room service etc....

  Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:

  That's a great idea!  I started looking once I saw your reply.  I actually found a nice NOLA hotel that offers great Louisiana resident rates.  No spa, but room-service and beignets will do just fine!  I had never thought to see if they had local rates before and didn't want to pay the hiked up prices for a place so close to home.  Thanks so much for your suggestion!

  We loved Natchez!  We stayed at an adorable B&B several months back and went and toured the town.  We plan on going again eventually.  I am originally from Mississippi, so it was just what I needed for a little taste of home
