Is it shameful that I actually got kind of excited when I found out that many of the football parents partake in adult beverages at football practices? Not like full on kegger with red solo cups, but discreet drinks in common to-go cups. Evidentally in the south (Southern US) this is common practice. A baseball team from Louisiana came up and there were signs saying no alcohol and they were floored. They said practice nights were like a parents night out to hang out with friends while the kids have practice. Not ragers or anything, but chairs, drinks, and laughs.
I told DH and his eyebrows shot up and he's all, "Really now?" There might be a whole new outlook of pop warner football in our house. Thankfully the field is only 2 back roads from home.
Re: FFC - I needed one today
@Mrs.Skiz - that is AWESOME! Leave it to the south to make something into a party!
