How often you feed an 8-mo old with table foods? I swear Sean is either going through a growth spurt or has a tapeworm, but I swear I could feed him table foods 3x a day, which seems like too much.
Right now he gets up and has a bottle or breakfast (depending on the time he gets up and what we're doing - ie. feeding the other two breakfast). Right before he goes down for a nap (about 2.5 hrs later), he eats a 6oz bottle. His feeding is every 4-5 hours then throughout the dayt.
I guess I ask bc he ate a LOT for dinner last night (puffs and mashed potatoes) and was flipping out about 20 minutes later, so we gave him a 5oz bottle. He was wide awake for about another 30 minutes, then crashed around 7:15p. He woke at 1a for a bottle, then back asleep until 4:30. I let him chill/squeal in his crib until I got up with him at 5:30. He had a bottle around 6:30a, went down for a nap at 7, and now is back up. (And he normally naps around 2-2.5 hrs each time.)
We start daycare tomorrow and I wonder if I should send 1 or 2 meals (breakfast and lunch) and 2-3 bottles? Maybe give him a bottle upon waking up, then let them give him breakfast at dc before nap. That sholuld tie him over until lunch (solids) and then bottle before afternoon nap?
Does that sound like too much food or should I wait and do solids for dinner over lunch?

Re: Does anyone remember... (infant feding schedule)
Your last line, about their primary source of calories, is something I forgot. So, thank you!
I think I'm going to follow what you did - at least for breakfast/ mid morning snack. I like giving him a bit more at night because he's already waking up once a night as it is....!
Thanks for your feedback!

think by 8 months Adam was eating 3 meals. but it was always nurse first and then eat. Just what he would eat. cereal and I used to add a little blended fruit to make it more interesting for breakfast, then something small for lunch- like fruits for lunch and then some sorta meal for dinner.
Always always formula/milk first then foods until a year.
Then I would give Adam whole milk for each meal. and at bed time and a little water through the day. We hardly ever had juice... he is a big water kid. Still is and now I buy V8 Fusion and try to get him a glass a day because he eats 3 things =(
