Would call me on my cell from our land line, to ask me to call his cell phone because he thinks he lost it in the couch and cant remember his own number.
Please no flames because my 11 year old has a cell phone. There are very good reasons for it and its a basic, makes phone calls and takes pictures, was free, cell phone. He wont have it at school or when he goes out to play. Its for when hes not home with us or a football practice. Plus its way cheaper than having a land line that I just had shut off today.

That's so funny that he thought to call you though! Hopefully he'll remember his number soon!
I am honestly surprised when 11yolds don't have a phone. I think it's really practical and as long as it's done appropriately it's a good idea, especially if they play sports or do activities without their parent there.

Oh hes looking at them, trust me!
Ugh we have been having little bits of the birds and bees talk here and there. When he asks I tell him, but dont give him too much info to process at once. He now knows about eggs and sperm meeting to make a baby in the ute. He hasnt asked how the mans sperm gets there or where it comes from yet. This little at a time thing is much easier than a full blast sex talk session.
Watching all those baby shows have actually been a good thing.
