CPW: acupuncture decision
I had an intake appt with an acupuncturist last night who was recommended by the fertility clinic. I don't know whether to go forward with it.
Keep in mind:
- we know it can increase blood flow to the uterus, helping with the thickening of lining
- she wants me to come once a week ($150/wk) and then it is $250 for the day of transfer. So $850 total.
- she is highly recommended, but had a body odor than I'm afraid would distract me/not let me relax
- I've had a successful (as in, got pregnant) IVF cycle without acu
AGH! It cut me off. Last option should be do it, but find anOther acupuncturist.

I think if you never had the idea to do acupuncture, then there would really be no reason to do it. But since now you have begun thinking about it, you will always think "what if" or "would it have changed anything" and it will drive you crazy!
When I did acupuncture, almost all the practitioners required/wanted the sessions to go for at least 3 months before IUI or IVF. When is your next cycle beginning?

I agree with MRads. If you can afford it I would at least give it a shot.
However, since you said they want patients to do it for 3 months before IVF and your transfer is only 4 weeks away do they still feel like it'd be a good option for you?
