Re: Win & Whine!

  • Win: DH and I have not been able to keep out hands off each other!! I feel like AF made me release some crazy ST hormones and now it's like a battle to stay apart.

Whine: I feel like summer is ending and I barely got to do anything. I have no free time between my work schedule, cleaning and renovating. I feel like I wasted the best 3 months of the year and have nothing to show for it.

  • Win: I lost three pounds last week!

Whine: I gained it all back in one night of drinking and debauchery. BLAH.

  • Whine: H hit a deer with his car on Monday. So we have spent the last 2 days running vehicles all over the place since you can't get in and out of the drivers door on his.

    Poor purple machine:

Win: We picked up a rental car last night in place of his car, and it's a smaller SUV we've considered replacing his car with.  A Kia Sorento. So now we get to truly test out its gas mileage and ride for his hour long commute on bumpy country roads.

Another Whine: I drove the Kia home from the rental place last night, and I actually did not like it. Even though it's a car I've been pushing that we need to at least look into. It doesn't have near enough power for me, so I'm hoping H says he doesn't like it.

One does not simply hit a deer with a car. I'm voting that it's the deer's fault on this one.

I hate deer. Screwing up cars. Gah.

  • @sparklingdiamond , I hope your mom's surgery goes well and she recovers quickly!

@brij2006 , that sucks about your H's car. Ugh F deer.

Win: H actually is off this weekend, so I might actually get some lovin'! Huzzah!

Whine: the usual. I don't wanna be heeeeere. I wanna go hoooome.

I think this one truly hit HIM. Since the damage began at the side of the car and all the way down. He didn't even hit it with the front of the car.

Then the stupid thing crapped on his car. So H thinks he may have killed it. This is the biggest negative to living in a rural area. There are plenty of animals that enjoy playing Frogger.

  • Oh yeah. Have definitely been the victim of Deer on Car Violence. Those suckers are TOUGH! They will screw up your car! Living in rural areas definitely can be dangerous! Once, I almost hit a loose cow in the fog at night. Another time a heard of goats almost caused a huge pile-up right in front of me when they decided it would be a good idea to run in front of a Semi-truck on a 60 mph road. Luckily everyone was able to stop without hitting each other but that semi looked like it was gonna jack-knife for a second there. Yeah. But its soooooo nice to not have to live in the city! I need to move back out to the country, I miss it!

Win: The work-week is half over!
Whine: The kitchen sink & dishwasher pipes in our rental house are busted and it is going to be a few days until they can fix it (they have to rip the whole kitchen apart to get into the wall apparently) so until then- dishes in the bathroom sink!

I tried one yesterday and did not have stomach issues.  However, I didn't love it as much as I hoped to.

Whine: I'm six days into Lupron and my angry/devilish mood is coming back.

Win: I exercised this morning and feel awesome about it.  I have four more weeks until FET, and I'm going to go hardcore on exercise and nutrition.

Deer are such a menace. I'm sorry about DH's car. How long until it's fixed?

  • @sparklingdiamond - I hope everything goes well with your mom! Wishing her a speedy and healthy recovery!

Whine: I am really dreading going back to school. I've made a lot of changes to make myself more organized (I hope it will work), but I still feel lost at the beginning of the year. It would help if I had my class rosters, but we don't get them until a day or two before the kids come back. I wish I was joking.

Win: I started Clomid this morning. It's a weird win, but DH and I talked a lot last night about what to do if this cycle fails. We're willing to give it another shot with Clomid, but we're thinking of advocating for IVF if we're not expecting by Thanksgiving. Yikes!
