Terrible Night Sleep :(

I followed the same bedtime routine that I always do, stopped eating around 8pm, then watched some tv until a little after 10pm and crawled into bed. I was so exhausted so my bed felt super comfortable last night. I fell asleep sometime between 1030 and 11, then woke up like I do every night around 230am. I guess that's when little miss likes to play.

Well this time I woke up and my throat was burning like it was on fire! I almost threw up it was so awful. I just can't catch a break from acid reflux. :(

At least Tums helped, but I almost threw up trying to get them down. And now I'm exhausted and don't want to go to work. :(

Re: Terrible Night Sleep :(

  • If your heartburn is really causing you problems you can talk to your doctor about prilosec. My OB prescribed it for me while pregnant. It is an acid reducer so you take it once a day. My heartvurn was so bad I would get sick and I couldn't sleep. I started prilosec at like 24 weeks and sometimes I would still have to eat tums it was so bad! Also if I was even a little late to taking my pill I would feel it.

Hope you figure out something to give you some relief!

  • Normally I just have it after eating, so I've just been dealing with that as it comes, but I hope it's not going to be a normal occurrence waking up like that every night now. I'll have to ask my doctor about the Prilosec. Thanks!

  • Have you tried Zantac? It takes ~30 minutes to kick in, but it's been a lifesaver for me
