Hi everyone- I hope it's okay if I jump on in today! I'm almost 20 weeks pregnant with my first, a girl. I lurked some on the GP board prior to getting pregnant, but only posted a little. I'd like to join in over here, as I'm finding myself with more Internet time on my hands, especially as I incessantly research all things baby-related

A little about me: I'm 31 and DH is 35. We had a little bit of a bumpy road getting to this point - I was diagnosed with PCOS, hypothyroidism, bilateral Fallopian tube issues, etc. But we made it! We're already parents to two adorable cats and the most hyper yellow lab you'll ever meet. I love to run (though I've switched to the elliptical for the time being), and I recently got a sewing machine, so I'm becoming a wannabe crafter. My weaknesses are ice cream, the Real Housewives (of everywhere), and Colin Firth.
I'm looking forward to getting to know more about you all!
ETA: sorry for the block of text! I have to figure out this new format.

Congratulations and welcome!!
Are you taking sewing classes or just kind of jumping in and seeing what you can learn on your own?
I have been wanting to get a sewing machine but I don't know if it's easy enough to just jump in or if I would have to take a class or something....
After awhile, you just want to be with the one who makes you laugh. - Mr. Big
Thanks everyone
@kanels11 So far I've just jumped into the sewing, but my projects have been pretty simple. I found that the instructional materials that came with my machine were very helpful, in terms of teaching me the basics. There are a lot of good internet tutorials, too. But I would like to take a class at some point, when I have time.
