If you were to read the second one, I would read the beginning before it begins to sound familiar and the ending. You could also just wait a while and read the whole thing as a re-read.

I started this book the other day. And by "started" I mean, I read the first chapter. It didn't do anything for me. Then again, pregnancy brain is crazy right now. Nothing is holding my attention.

I'm glad to hear it's gotten more great reviews because I'm sure I'll like it once I can focus on something.
