What was the biggest thing you won?

Re: QOD 8-15-13

  • I don't think I have ever won anything large... other than H :) I was a big winner with him!

  • I won Phillies Phan of the Year with my college roomie in 2004, it was pretty cool. We had to make a video and we got picked to win a trip down to spring training all expenses paid and also got announced at the last game of the season and on the big screen, got to go on the field and met a ton of players!

  • A couple bucks on a scratch ticket? H is the lucky one. He usually wins on scratch tickets, raffles, marrying me, etc. :-)

  • I have been chosen out of the audience to participate in things a bunch, and I have won a few radio contests. Best sorry of my winnings was a trip for 2 to NYC for Paris Hilton's CD release party. Yeah. Very entertaining.

And the other day I won some contest I don't even remember entering. They said they would even direct deposit the money I won, all I had to do was give them my account details and some security info to verify it was really me!

    Kidding.

  • Best thing I ever won was tickets to a VIP event by my favorite artist since I was 9 (Raine Maida and his wife Chantal Kreviazuk) where there were like only 35 people at the release event of his first solo album. My life was completed that day (and I got to talk to Chantal about non-profits in Africa AND got the set list....)

    I love Chantal! So awesome!

  • not gonna lie, I walked away from that night hardly believing it...I mean I knew Raine is awesome and I knew Chantal is awesome, but after getting to just chit chat with her about stuff I am passionate about...They will forever be not only my fave musicians, but my biggest role models as well.
  • I won a basket full of dog toys for my dog once.  Other than that I haven't really won much, at least not that I can remember.

  • I don't think this counts as winning, bit I was picked as an ambassador for the Lance Armstrong Foundation LiveStrong conference in 2006. They flew me down to Austin and put me up in a hotel. It was an amazing opportunity. And yes, Lance was there.
  • Hmm... I wonder a hair care basket at a charity auction but nothing exciting.

  • I couldn't believe this happened, but at my company's Christmas party last year, I won the grand door prize of a 52" HD TV. It's the one we use now. I think it's worth about $300 because there were three different grand door prizes each worth about $300.
