Baby Update!

Caden is 2 months old today... I'm still not sure how that happened! He is growing like a weed, I took him to the doctor last week because I thought he may have had thrush (he didn't, hello paranoid first time mom!) he weighed 12lbs 4oz and was 25 inches long! He has his official 2 month check up on the 12th, I wouldn't be surprised if he was pushing 14lbs!

I go back to work on September 3rd and am still trying to find a way to stay at home but so far no luck. I asked my boss if I could return part time and he was all for it, however his boss said no. Now I am pretty sure my boss thinks I am going to leave and is totally scared! I was honest with him and said there was a possibility that I would look for something closer to home because I cannot wrap my head around getting home at 6 and putting Caden to bed at 8.

Ohh best news is saved for last! Caden slept through the night for the first time last night! He went to sleep at 9 and woke up at 5:45! We hope it wasn't a fluke and will do it again tonight. I told him he needed a good nights sleep for our trip to the aquarium tomorrow, hopefully he listens!

And I leave you all with this cute face...

After 10hrs of sleep (broken up by 1 feeding) I think I have my happy baby back!

I'm glad to hear everything is going well. We went to the ER one night too. I think it is a first time mom thing. It turned out to be just gas. I hope you can find a way to stay at home. I didn't realize our kids are exactly one month apart.

It us great he slept all night long. I can't wait for Abby to do that. We're still up. She's been fighting bad gas since 10 pm. I think she may be asleep on my shoulder, but I'll wait a few minutes to check and move her.

I am just seeing this now. He is such a cutie! I'm glad he's doing well. Congrats on getting him to sleep all night! Where do you having him sleeping? Liliana can sleep for a 6 hour stretch but only if it's in the bed with me. I really want to get her in her crib soon. She hates her bassinet. Caden looks like such a happy baby!

He sleeps in his crib. We transitioned him from his cradle to crib around 4 weeks. He does great at night, we are still working on napping in the crib.

Just keep trying to put her.in her crib. It may take some time but eventually she will sleep there!

Adorable baby! And that's great that he's sleeping through the night. I know what you mean about being paranoid. Every little thing makes me wonder if something might be wrong. I hope you can find something work wise that lets you be home more. I know I'm lucky to be home with Lily right now. Once my semester is over I'm going to have to find something at least part time so I can make my student loan payments.
