Re: Manic Monday

  • Highs - Pretty much everything. Friday night we ended up bailing on the brewery and just went out to dinner. We had some really good break through conversations regarding the "if's" surrounding the sale of our house. I feel like so much pressure has been lifted off my shoulders.

The Run or Dye was so much fun. I was afraid that Chris would be miserable through the whole thing and he really had a good time too. Hes not a goofy type person and thats what this run was, but he really got into for me and plans on signing up for the next one. We are signing Chase up too.

Chris' office picnic was actually pretty fun too. I like being able to hang out with these people that he works with that I only get to hear stories about. They ended up coming with us to my brothers house for afew hours that night too.

Lows- Chris woke up feeling cruddy yesterday, but started feelnig better the further the day went on.

  • Highs: Hung out at my parents all weekend. The kids had fun swimming all day Saturday even though the water is freezing now. We finally got to the movies for the first time in forever and saw Planes. It was M's first time going and he loved it.

Lows: M sleeps like crap when we aren't at home so I was tired all weekend.
    A: 10.02.03    M: 01.28.11
  • High: canning fun with MIL, Run or Dye

Lows: cleaning the garage and digging a trench in the driveway....like who wants to do that crap!

  • HIgh- Got some things done around the house like washing the carpet's. It made me cringe when I see A rolling around he carpet and its all gross from the dogs. Now I wash them every 2 months.

Low-None really...we kept it simple. H has been on this gluten free kick lately and insists on me getting gluten free bread but I havent been able to find any in stores. Then he suggested "WE" make our own gluten free bread...Ummm, yea, I'm sure hes going to be making bread....more like me making the bread and he gets to enjoy it.

Highs: Sunday was my day to sleep in...9:45. I cannot think of the last time I got up that late. Now, of course, L slept until 8:15 so H's 'early' day wasn't so early. She got up at 6:45 on my day. lol

Lows: nothing really- just hung out with H and the kiddos

Trader Joes has a lot of reasonably priced gluten free items. also the Giant has a nice gluten free selection.
  • Highs - Spending the day on Saturday with my grandparents. Spending Sunday with my in-laws. I can't wait until we live in Slower Lower!

Lows - T's been sick. And I'm so bummed that I had to miss Run or Dye!

Giant does have a great selection! Try Harvest Market in Hockessin too. Udisglutenfree.com makes great gluten free bread. You can find which stores they are in through their website.

  • Good to know about the bread, thanks. I think there is a Giant close to us, but if now I pass one on Concord PIke in Wilmington all the time.

As soon as this condo sells. But by Slower Lower, I mean Townsend/Odessa. Not Millsboro/Bethany. Although I would love to move that far south, H's job just wouldn't work with that move.

  • Highs - I really tried to make the most of my last weekend of summer vacation.  My beach day was fantastic, Run or Dye was a blast, and I had a kick ass night out in Wilmington with a friend.  And H bought a new car!

Low - Only 4 of my new students came to the Back to School picnic on Sunday.  I was hoping to meet more of them.

@Janma529 Did any of your old students come? It's always fun to see them once you're done with them!
