I'm in a rut. HELP! I have lost motivation and enjoyment. And I'm registered for a 5k at the end of this month, so I need to step it up again!
Last week, I ran 3 days, but they weren't that great. I made it 2.5 the first day, the second time I only did 2.2 and the last run I did 2. Also, I managed to drop the treadmill on my foot mid-week, so I was mad at myself for that (and it hurt like crazy!!!)
What do you do when you lose your motivation? I really did used to like to get out & run, now I just dread it. it feels like I'm out there forever & I realize it's only been a mile or so. I'm not sure if I need to just change it up & do something else in between runs, or....?
Re: fitness post!
I also hate if my clothes start feeling snug or anything...that definitely is motivation!
Like I said I slacked last week and hadn't run. I felt like I struggled a little and took a few quick walk breaks. I'm happy with my time but I could have gotten it under 28 mins. It was race with dogs so I had my pup with me and she had a few stops too.
I really want to get another 5K in on my own and see if I can get it under 28 mins.
Otherwise I really didn't do much last week. I have had a constant headache and dh has been working late so I couldn't get out much. Hoping this week will be better!
This week my runs bump up to 4, 4, and 6, so I am a little nervous about that.
