How close does family live, (DH's and/or yours)? How close is too close?

Re: QOTD 8/19
I think we are the perfect distance. We get home often enough but it doesn't feel like everyone is always in our hair. I would like to be a bit closer to my family when we have children, but I'd like to be a bit further away from H's family when we have kids (long story, my in-laws are terrible people).
My dad lives 1hr 1/2 away with his girlfriend and I don't get to see him much which sucks but it is what it is
Hs parents live 20 min away and its great! We are separate enough but also close enough in case of emergency! They also get to see the kids a lot bcs they are close
My parents and sister live about 10 minutes away. We (especially I) get along good with my family so it's not a problem. I think it'll be helpful when the baby is here, especially after DH goes back to work (he gets 2 weeks paid off). My sister is getting married in November and she will be moving in with her fiance. They will be about 30 min away. DH and I are moving mid to late November and my parents will be about 25 min away and my sister and her husband will still be about 30 min away.
DH's family is all over the place. His parents live in Florida and we're in Pittsburgh, so about a 2 hour flight? Something like that. He has a brother, sister in law, and niece who live about 15 minutes away and another brother and sister in law who live about 20 minutes away. Both of these will be slightly longer when we move. He also has 2 sisters (and their families) that live about 3 hours away (one in Harrisburg and one in Virginia). And a sister in law and niece (brother passed away) about 4 hours away in Ohio.
H's parents are only about 10 minutes away, and with all the drama they have going on, that's way too close for me most days.
ETA: Our siblings all live in the same town as us, too. My youngest brother and I get along great, so I don't mind having him close (he still lives at home with Mom), but my middle brother and H's sister are both drama queens, so I tend to keep my distance.
My sister and BIL are about 35 min away and we usually see each other all the time, whether they come to us, we go to the them or meet in the middle at our parents house.
H's sister lives in MD with her husband, about 5 hours away, and honestly i love it that way=)
His parents are 2miles down the road. Too close!!
We need to be like goldilocks and find the just right distance!! Ha
H's parents live about 45 minutes away, with no traffic. H's sisters still live at home with the ILs. We see them at least twice a month, sometimes more. We don't always see H's sisters as much as his parents as they are not always home when we visit. I wish ILs lived closer. I enjoy them and when we have a family it would be nice to be able to see them frequently.
My sister lives 2 miles away, which is fine. Both of our parents live about 15 minutes away. That's great for my parents, because I regularly have to go to the farm and help out. Nice to have it so close.
As for DH's parents, it's fine that they are that close now. When we first moved into our house having them that close was an issue, but we've established boundries. It only took a full on scream-fest in front of DH's sister about me having less to do with my own house than his family does. Once they found out they were causing fights they backed off a bit.
