Quotes as decorations

OKay. How do we feel about quotes as decorations in your house. I have always thought NO, but recently I've been eyeing a wall in my laundry room and it seems perfect for one. Not this one below, that's just as an idea. Maybe a family quote one? Or do we think they're tacky...because I can't decide.

    I think it's a tad on the tacky side, like I wouldn't put one in my living room, but I think a laundry room is a good place for one.

    I think they are cute in places like the laundry room, kids bathroom, and play rooms. I don't think I'd have one in my living room though.

    I'm leaning toward tacky, but better when smaller and part of a gallery wall or on a shelf with a bunch of other things (if that makes sense).

    I agree that certian places are good for them, but others not so much. Chase has some lyrics from a song by Trey Anastasio (lead singer of Phish) that he wants to hand paint on a canvas for his bedroom.

    Call me tacky because I have quotes in my house. Not quite like that one but I have the serenity prayer framed. It's hanging above the doorway to our kitchen.

    I have a beachy type quote hanging above the door in my kitchen too.  I recognize that it's tacky and I embrace it!

    I dont think they're tacky, I have them all over my house. I like little reminders throughout the day or when I look at them. I also like reading other people's frames when I visit. Kind of show's their style and the things they appreciate.

    Maybe that's what I'm missing in my life.

     

    I'm in the depends on the room and decor group.  I kind of like small framed ones that are in a wall gallery with pictures.

    I agree it depends on the room. I have one in my laundry room that says "laundry today or naked tomorrow". And the Always Kiss me goodnight" in our bedroom. DH says its me being bossy even in my sleep. Lol
