I need to talk about Catfish
I know the rest of the world is over this show but I just can't stop! It's like a drug!
So there's this girl on the episode that I'm watching now who has been talking to this guy online for 3 years. They were supposed to meet once and he blew her off. He lived in NC and she lived in PA or somewhere like that, so they agreed to meet in the middle at a rest stop on I95. Well he never showed because HE GOT ARRESTED on the way there. His charges? Possession of a weapon of mass destruction! What?! And she was still dying to meet him. I just don't understand. Aren't there plenty of fish in the sea? Fish that aren't swimming around with weapons of mass destruction?
Re: I need to talk about Catfish
OMG this show! every time I watch it my jaw is like dropped the entire time.
weapons of mass destruction!! deal breaker for me
The Rowdy Roberts
Ok so I finished watching it last night. Turns out that he's an Iraq war vet and when he stopped to get gas, he drove over one of those gas loading things that are in the ground and he had a flashback to Iraq and he thought he was driving over a bomb. So he lost his mind in the middle of the gas station parking lot and they had to call the cops because he wouldn't calm down. Well the cops searched his car and found a sawed off shot gun in the trunk. I guess he always carries it? So that's what they were calling a weapon of mass destruction. Since then he's gotten help for his PTSD.
Oh and he was married when he was going to meet her.
I know you're all dying to know this - they didn't work out. They broke up. Sad story.
it didn't work out?! I'm sad for them.
The Rowdy Roberts
Wow a sawed off shotgun is a WMD? That's sad about his PTSD, and it makes his story a little easier to handle. Jeff has flasbacks when he hears big booms.
But he was married?! WTF! Did she find this out when they met?
NVM, I obviously need to watch this one.
Apparently it is in whatever state he was in.
And once they told the whole story - about the PTSD and all of that - I was more understanding. Until I found out homeboy was MARRIED!
Have you ever seen an episode with a happy ending? I can only think of one.
