You'd have no kids. Ever. You could be an awesome aunt to your sibling's children.

You'd have quintuplets. Your life, otherwise, stays the same - meaning no lottery winnings, if family lives close and is willing to help, cool, if not, too bad.

  • Amazing. I received the "risk of multiples" speech from the nurse today, and it's comforting to know so many other women would rather have a high risk pregnancy than never be a parent. ((hugs)) to you all!

  • I'm actually surprised at these results.

  • Quints hands-down. I'm sure it would make our lives completely nuts, but I can't entertain the thought of never being a mother.

  • My siblings live far. Not that it factored into my answer, but they live flights away.

  • I'm sure I will get flamed for this but if we had more than 3 babies in a pregnancy we would probably do selective reduction. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't go that route if I knew everything would be okay but the risk of losing all the babies at that point is just too high. I know that's a highly personal topic.

  • @littlelady77 My RE wouldn't transfer more than three unless we signed paperwork saying we were ok with reducing. They won't risk triplet pregnancies. We transferred two.

  • My RE also said that if by some crazy event we got more than 3 he would highly recommend a reduction. It made me think about this topic a lot when we were deciding how many to transfer. I'm exceptionally glad we won't have to make that call!

I 100% feel the same way.  It is so high-risk and puts all the babies in danger both in utero and after they are born for the rest of their lives.  It is, of course, a personal decision but one that I would never want  to put myself in the position to make.
