Hi.. my fiance has horrible credit. He signed for a 06 trailblazer last sept. Pmts 390. I know.. wow. We do fine, until he realizes he cant afford the gas for the truck. 2 months ago, he takes the truck back to the place he bought it from. They say they will buy the truck back and pay it off in full, all (now 8015), if we get another car from his lot. Awesome. So we pick out an 04 Cadillac. Lowered his pmt by 60 to 330, and he loves it. We turned over the keys, and signed the paperwork to transfer the truck back into the dealers name. Cool.
Now, two months later, the guy still hasnt paid off the truck, or transferred it into his name and off of hubbys credit, AND we dont have the truck to have it repoed as a last resort. Its now 2 months of payment behind, and we cannot make both payments. Any ideas on what we can do to fix this???
Re: 2 car pmts, one car??
Do you have all of the paperwork and does the paperwork clearly indicate that the Blazer was a trade in? If he isn't going to rectify this situation immediately you might very well need that paperwork to take him to court to get him to pay up. Unfortunately in the meantime your credit is taking a hit for the late payments. I would contact your lender and see if they have any advice and at least let them know what is going on. If he doesn't immediately agree to pay off the Blazer that's when I would drop the nice and call the police, because essentially he stole the truck! Best of luck and keep us posted.
That seriously sucks, I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Hopefully it's just an oversight on their part ( a really big one!) I would also see if they can clean up the credit mess they created for you by getting the 2 late payments removed from your credit score as faulty information.
